Gary Patterson is synonymous with the resurgence of TCU as a football powerhouse. He has led TCU to five 10-win seasons in the last seven years, including four 11-win campaigns in the last six seasons. Patterson guided TCU to an 11-2 record in 2008 and a No. 7 ranking in the AP and USA Today polls. His 73-27 (.730) record is the best mark of any TCU head coach after 100 games. During his 11 years on campus, Patterson has guided TCU to 10 bowl games, including last year’s 17-16 win over No. 9 Boise State in the Poinsettia Bowl. It was TCU’s fourth straight bowl win. The 2008 seniors posted a phenomenal 41-10 record over the past four seasons to become the all-time winningest class in TCU history.
