70th Anniversary of
1938 National Championship

2008 marks the 70th Anniversary
of TCU’s 1938 national championship season. Led by Heisman Trophy quarterback Davey O’Brien, the Horned Frogs went undefeated during the regular season and went on to win the Sugar Bowl, earning them the No. 1 spot in the Associated Press poll. MORE

TCU football has awakened from its prolonged winter slumber. And by all indications, it woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Today begins the untold hours–pumping iron, running stairs, pushing the limits until they can push no further–then pushing farther still. All the sweat, all the sacrifice working towards one inexorable truth, victory is the only acceptable outcome. Meaner, stronger, hungrier and ready to write the next chapter in the storied tradition written before them by O’Brien, Baugh, Lilly and Tomlinson, to a man this team knows, next season is now.
